From the initial 80% to more than 90% now, rectifiers with an efficiency of more than 96% have appeared in the past more than a year. It is believed that as the cost of devices decreases and the technology matures, large-scale applications will soon be available. Another way to save energy in a switching regulated power supply is to improve the actual working efficiency of the system through the sleep of the module when the efficiency curve of the rectifier is fixed. Take the 50A module as an example, when the load is 10A, the efficiency is 87%-88%, when the load is 40A, the efficiency is more than 93%, and the energy saving between the two is more than 5%.

 The rectifier sleep method is realized by automatically detecting the load current through the monitoring unit, turning on the rectifier module as needed, and letting other modules sleep, thereby realizing energy saving. The energy-saving method of switching power supply has only been used in the last two years, and it does not have this function for the hundreds of thousands of existing network equipment of the three major telecom operators. Whether to carry out energy-saving retrofits and what principles should be used for retrofits are issues that everyone cares about. Our suggestion is to carry out retrofits based on the principle of combining cost recovery and social benefits.

 According to the energy-saving data under different load rates, it is concluded that sites with a load rate of less than 25% are very valuable for reconstruction, and the cost can be recovered in about 1 year, and the energy-saving effect is very obvious; sites with a load rate of 25% to 40% can be based on the situation It usually takes about 2 years to recover the cost. It can be carried out with sufficient funds. After all, social benefits can be obtained. It is not recommended to renovate sites with a load rate of more than 40%, because the energy saving effect is relatively small and the cost recovery period is relatively long. .

 As of the end of 2010, the three major operators had accumulated nearly 700,000 base stations on the existing network, and there were 500,000 sites that are meaningful for transformation. Even if each site is transformed to save 2kWh per day, 500,000 base stations can save 1 million kWh of electrical energy per day. It saves 365 million kWh of electricity and has high economic value and social benefits.
